Its seems like yesterday, we were closing out June. But here we are, almost to August. The summer, as usual, is going by too quickly. Here in Pennsylvania, we’re trying to get outside as much as we can when the humidity isn’t bad, and we’re living on smoothies made out of the fresh local fruit we’ve picked. Our canoe made a soft scraping sound against the sand as we arrived on the shore of our next portage. Quickly, we jumped out and lifted the canoe slightly, to drag it further onto shore. Somehow we’ve made it to blueberry season here in Pennsylvania. This means that on the Saturday’s we are free, we are getting up early and picking as many delicious berries as it takes to fill our buckets. There is just nothing like fresh blueberries.
